According to Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra, he stated about the performance, "In April 2023, our company recorded a domestic tractor sales figure of 35,398 units, which represents a decline in comparison to the same period last year. This can be attributed to the fact that the high demand-generating festivals of Navratri and Gudi Padwa occurred in March this year, unlike in April last year. However, we are currently experiencing positive market sentiment as harvesting and crop procurement activities are in full swing, especially with wheat procurement surpassing last year's levels. Additionally, with high reservoir levels, the upcoming Kharif sowing season is expected to be favorable, and good cash flow from Rabi crops will enhance liquidity for farmers. On the export front, our company sold 1,007 tractors."
