Mahindra Honors Millionaire Farmers in India, Celebrate Excellence in Agriculture
Mahindra Tractors, a prominent player in India's tractor market, has launched the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award' to commend the outstanding achievements of successful farmers. The inaugural event in New Delhi witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities and aimed to recognize and uplift the farming profession by honoring those who achieved millionaire status through dedication and innovation.
Mahindra Tractors, a major player in the Indian tractor market, has launched the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award' to recognize the outstanding achievements of successful farmers across the country. The inaugural event unfolded at the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi from December 6 to 8, 2023, with the presence of distinguished personalities including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Acharya Devvrat (Governor of Gujarat), P Sathasivam (Former Chief Justice of India and Former Governor of Kerala), among others.
The primary aim of the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award' is to recognize, motivate, and uplift the farming profession in India by honoring farmers who have not only doubled their farm incomes but have also achieved millionaire status through unwavering dedication and innovative agricultural practices. These farmers have consistently embraced best practices, and integrated technology, and achieved unprecedented levels of productivity and profitability, as emphasized by the tractor manufacturer.

The three-day event provided a platform to recognize over 700 farmers across 15 categories at the district, state, and national levels, including horticulturists, spice farmers, and poultry and dairy experts. The celebration also brought together prominent figures from India's agriculture industry. Mahindra utilized the occasion to showcase a diverse range of cutting-edge tractors and farm mechanization solutions.

At the event, Nitin Gadkari initiated the Kisan Bharat Yatra, a special roadshow covering 26,000 kilometers, with over 4,000 touchpoints, engaging with more than 100,000 millionaire farmers throughout the year.
Vikram Wagh, CEO of Mahindra Farm Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, expressed the company's commitment to advancing agriculture, stating that Mahindra Tractors continues to lead advancements in agriculture, actively participating in this initiative. These awards spotlight the Indian farmers who have demonstrated that, with the right technology and practices, farming is not only noble but also rewarding. Mahindra takes great pride in aligning itself with forward-thinking farmers.
