Additional Information
The W70 Combine Harvester's self-cleaning radiator is a unique feature that extends engine life by preventing radiator choking. The suction duct provided removes chaff and other foreign material that would normally be held on the screen's surface by a suction mechanism. It reduces the amount of manpower required to clean the radiator. W70 Combine Harvesters are electrically controlled and have a variable-speed motor mechanism that allows the operator to change the reel speed from the operator's station using a switch on the instrument panel. The reel speed can be adjusted based on crop conditions such as down, tangled, wet, heavy weeds, heavy stemmed, tall, and short crops.
The tiltable steering column and adjustable operator's seat provide a comfortable driving experience and reduce fatigue for the operator, even after long hours of operation. The seat can be adjusted up and down, as well as forward and backward, to suit the operator's preferences.
The W70 combine harvester has good lugging power and, in comparison to the competition, has less rpm drop even at peak load conditions, thanks to its reliable, fuel-efficient John Deere 4039 100-hp engine.
The four-speed transmission system optimizes ground speed based on field and crop conditions, resulting in improved mileage.
The lower unit of the W70 Combine Harvester has a variable-speed ground drive with the Posi-Torq mechanism. This mechanism enables the harvester to work in wet and undulating fields while providing easy maneuverability. The engine drive sends power to the upper unit of the ground drive and then to the lower unit.
The cutterbar can be adjusted to three positions: mid, extended, and retracted, allowing the combine to handle all crop conditions, which is especially important when dealing with lodged crops. In contrast to competitive harvesters, the W70 combine harvester uses wobble box technology to operate the cutterbar. The wobble box reduces crop damage by preventing vibration.
