Zetta Farms Launches 'Zetta Rozgaar Yojna': Empowering Indian Farmers through Innovative Employment Scheme
With the launch of the 'Zetta Rozgaar Yojna,' Zetta Farms' journey enters an inspiring new phase, bound to resonate not only within the agricultural landscape but throughout the broader Indian economy.
In a groundbreaking move set to reshape the landscape of Indian agriculture, Gurugram-based sustainable agriculture startup Zetta Farms is poised to elevate thousands of farmers from traditional labourers to salaried professionals. Known for its pioneering efforts in formalizing and revitalizing the farming sector, Zetta Farms has unveiled the 'Zetta Rozgaar Yojna' (ZRY), a transformative initiative aimed at offering stability, security, and prosperity to farmers across the nation.
Coined as the "Zetta Rozgaar Yojna," the scheme represents a watershed moment for the agricultural community. With a mission to foster sustainable growth and offer steady employment to farmers, the innovative initiative seeks to convert nearly 4,500 farmers into salaried individuals. Under this visionary scheme, Zetta Farms is embarking on the cultivation of over 9,000 acres, pledging to provide employment opportunities and fixed salaries to farmers, irrespective of the vagaries of agricultural yield.
Rituraj Sharma, co-founder of Zetta Farms, explained, "Our commitment to transforming lives extends beyond just farming. With ZRY, we are looking to create a positive impact on farmers' livelihoods. We believe community support will play a crucial role in our journey as we expand our cultivation areas and support more farmers."

Founded in 2014, Zetta Farms has been a vanguard in rejuvenating India's agricultural sector. By blending agricultural expertise with business acumen, the agri-startup has championed sustainable farming practices across a diverse range of crops, all while striving for innovation. One of its core strategies involves acquiring agricultural land and providing farmers with steady employment at fixed wages.
Zetta Farms' ZRY initiative charts an ambitious course for agricultural transformation. For every two additional acres of land acquired, the company plans to employ one farmer, thus creating a cycle of stable employment opportunities within the farming community. The scheme guarantees each participating farmer a consistent monthly income, ensuring financial security regardless of crop yields.
In a remarkable move that underscores the company's commitment to farmer welfare, Zetta Farms introduces a pioneering pension fund for farmers. This unprecedented gesture sets the startup apart as the first private firm to extend such a benefit to the agricultural workforce. The company also plans to bolster its farmer support by introducing an insurance plan, safeguarding farmers' livelihoods against risks.
Rituraj Sharma elaborated, "We have allocated approximately Rs 30 crore to our salary and pension scheme, with the intent to augment this fund as our cultivation areas expand. Our pension fund is a testament to our dedication, growing alongside each farmer we welcome into our fold, as we make monthly contributions to ensure their financial well-being."
With the launch of the 'Zetta Rozgaar Yojna,' Zetta Farms' journey enters an inspiring new phase, bound to resonate not only within the agricultural landscape but throughout the broader Indian economy. As the startup pioneers a model that uplifts farmers from the fringes of uncertainty to the realm of stability, the ZRY scheme stands as a beacon of hope, promising a brighter and more empowered future for India's hardworking farming community.
