Varanasi's Famous 'Langda Mangoes' Set for Gulf Export, CM Yogi to Flag Off the First Consignment
The Langda mangoes were set to be exported to the Dubai market via a Varanasi-Sharjah flight, while the green chili consignment would be sent to the Gulf via a sea route. CM Yogi Adityanath visited the Karkhiyao area to inaugurate the shipment of Banarasi Langda mangoes and freshly packed green chilies.
Varanasi, a city known for its rich cultural heritage and spiritual significance, witnessed a momentous event as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took center stage to highlight the remarkable achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nine-year governance. The public meeting, held at the Jagatpur Inter College ground, not only celebrated the remarkable progress under Prime Minister Modi's leadership but also showcased the emergence of Eastern Uttar Pradesh as a thriving hub for the export of agricultural products.
With great enthusiasm, Adityanath to flag off the first consignments of the renowned 'Langda' mango, now with a geographical indication tag, and freshly packed green chilies, symbolizing the region's growing prominence in global agricultural markets. This event brought together a prominent gathering of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, who worked diligently to ensure the success of the public meeting.
The stage was set for an insightful and inspiring address by Chief Minister Adityanath, as he highlighted the achievements of the Modi government and outlined the path towards continued progress and prosperity for the people of Uttar Pradesh. Before delivering his speech at the public meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath visited the Karkhiyao area to inaugurate the shipment of Banarasi Langda mangoes and freshly packed green chilies.

This ceremony took place at the Integrated Pack House, which was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on March 24. The Langda mangoes were set to be exported to the Dubai market via a Varanasi-Sharjah flight, while the green chili consignment would be sent to the Gulf via a sea route, according to CB Singh, Deputy General Manager of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
During the flagging-off ceremony, Singh highlighted the presence of ten leading exporters of agricultural products from the country, who engaged in interactive sessions with Farm Producers Organizations (FPOs) to foster valuable exchanges of insights.
The public meeting and the ceremonial flagging off of agricultural exports signify significant milestones in the development of Eastern Uttar Pradesh's agricultural sector. They demonstrate the government's dedication to empowering farmers, encouraging exports, and fostering overall economic growth in the region.
