Today, Case IH, a renowned agricultural equipment brand under CNH Industrial, has launched a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative named "Unnat Kaushal-Sugarcane Harvester Operator Training."

This program has been developed in partnership with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Baramati, Maharashtra, and targets sugarcane harvester operators across India.

The objective of this project is to promote sustainable sugarcane farming practices by providing training to sugarcane farmers on the optimal utilization of harvesting equipment. The training aims to enhance overall efficiency and increase machine uptime.

A group of 150 farmers from the districts of Baramati, Kolhapur, Satara, and Sangli participated in the first batch of a training program.

The five-day program aims to train 300 operators between the ages of 18 and 35 with a minimum educational qualification. The program is designed to equip them with employable skills and fill the gap in the industry's skilled workforce.

Sandeep Gupta, the Agriculture India Sales and Development Leader at CNH Industrial, expressed the company's dedication to creating a beneficial effect in the agricultural sector. He stated that their Unnat Kaushal program aims to provide sugarcane harvester operators with the essential abilities and information. This endeavour will allow farmers to operate the equipment proficiently, resulting in improved productivity, reduced expenses, and, ultimately, a sustainable farming system. The company anticipates that this initiative will have a positive impact on numerous farmers in the area.

As a part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives last year, the company trained 600 farmers in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on topics such as financial literacy, farm mechanization, biomass management, and state agricultural subsidies.

As per the company statement, Case IH has been a leading innovator in the field of mechanical sugarcane harvesting for almost 80 years. They have recently introduced the Austoft 4010 Maxx, which is now available in India. This machine is designed to provide better cutting quality and higher productivity, and its compact and lightweight construction allows sugarcane producers to harvest their crops more efficiently under different field conditions.
