Union Cabinet Approves Rs 24,420 Crore Fertilizer Subsidy Boost for Farmers

In a major boost for the agricultural sector, the Union Cabinet has approved a substantial fertilizer subsidy of Rs 24,420 crore. The initiative aims to significantly reduce the financial burden on farmers by making essential phosphatic and potassic (P&K) fertilizers more affordable during the upcoming Kharif season, which runs from April to September 2024.
