Union Agriculture Minister Conducts Meeting with Union Territories for Extensive Agriculture Development
A recent meeting was held between centrally administered territories with the chairmanship of Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Tomar said that government is continuously evaluating ways to benefit farmers.

Recently a meeting was held in New Delhi yesterday, between centrally administered territories under the chairmanship of Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
Narendra Tomar said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is evaluating and has been working on schemes and programs for the overall development of the nation”
In territories, farmers are assured of getting maximum benefits from welfare schemes.
Tomar added that agriculture is the backbone of India. Through agriculture, the economy has been well boosted. There is a high demand for small farmers and there is sufficient flexibility to make it work.
He told that as there are ample amounts of schemes and programs held with the Central Government, there is a need for proper implementation to make it work.
He said that all the eligible farmers, fishermen, and animal herders get the utmost benefit from the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
More than crores of farmers have received a value of Rs 2.5 lac crore under PM Kisan, which have been credited to their respective accounts.
Tomar further told that there should be improvements and changes in farmer's standard of living in Union Territories.
