Telangana Government Initiates Crop Loan Waiver Up To Rs 99,000 and Welfare Programs

The Finance Minister of the state, T Harish Rao, announced a significant step towards alleviating the burdens of farmers in Sangareddy. In a press conference on Saturday, he declared the commencement of the waiver of crop loans amounting to Rs 99,000 and above, a move set to provide much-needed relief to the agrarian community.
The announcement was made during the launch of the distribution of BC Bandhu cheques, an initiative aimed at supporting local communities. Minister Harish Rao underlined the government's commitment to easing the financial hardships faced by farmers. He mentioned that the process would start on Monday, signalling a positive change for the agricultural sector.
As part of this endeavour, loans exceeding Rs 1 lakh would also be waived off within the next two weeks. Notably, the government has already taken steps to relieve loans up to Rs 41,000, a gesture that has been well-received by the farming population.

The event saw the distribution of house sites to 424 beneficiaries across three villages within the Sangareddy constituency. This move is expected to contribute to improved housing and living conditions for the recipients, fostering a sense of security and well-being.
