Tamil Nadu Govt Distributes 3332 Subsidized VST Power Tillers to Farmers to Boost Farming Productivity

In a significant move to enhance agricultural productivity and support small and marginal farmers, the Agricultural Engineering Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu distributed 3332 VST Power Tillers across the state at subsidized rates. These versatile farm machines are well-suited for the unique needs of small-scale agriculture in India.

VST Power Tillers have gained recognition as the most affordable and efficient farm equipment tailored to the requirements of small and marginal farmers. These versatile machines are designed to perform a range of essential tasks, including bund formation, inter-cultivation, earthing up, de-weeding, and puddling. Their adaptability makes them particularly well-suited for a variety of crops, including ginger, turmeric, sugarcane, vegetables, cotton, red gram, and horticultural crops.

The distribution of these power tillers was executed through a coordinated effort that spanned the entire state. The goal was clear - to enhance agricultural productivity, alleviate the challenges faced by farmers, and promote small-scale farm mechanization. The official inauguration of the power tiller distribution event was conducted by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Mr. M.K. Stalin in Chennai. The event witnessed the active participation of ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and local body representatives.
