STEYR® Launches Powerful 6280 Absolut CVT Tractor with XPower XPA Electrical Weed Control System for Municipal Market

STEYR® Traktoren has announced the launch of two groundbreaking additions to its product lineup, aimed at meeting the growing demands of the municipality sector. The company's latest offerings, the powerful 280hp 6280 Absolut CVT flagship model and the innovative AGXTEND XPower XPA system, are set to revolutionize the agricultural and landscaping industries.

Introducing the New STEYR 6280 Absolut CVT Tractor

Responding to the increasing need for more power and enhanced tractor capabilities, STEYR® Traktoren has unveiled the 6280 Absolut CVT tractor. Delivering an unboosted 280hp, which can reach a maximum of 302hp with boost for PTO and transport tasks, the 6280 Absolut CVT is designed to excel in municipal and landscaping applications.

The most striking feature of the new tractor is its spacious premium cab, which is eight percent larger than its predecessor, ensuring maximum operator comfort during long hours of operation. The cab boasts an impressively low interior noise level of just 66 dB(A), providing a serene working environment.

The integration of S-Fleet telematics takes tractor management to the next level. The MySteyr online portal allows real-time recording of tractor operating data, which can be accessed via PCs or mobile devices. With the owner's permission, STEYR dealers can provide remote assistance to drivers through the S-Fleet Remote View feature, including the ability to remotely install software updates.

Innovative technologies like the patented S-Comfort synchronised damping technology and the STEYR S-Brake trailed implement braking activation further enhance the tractor's performance and safety. The Tractor Implement Management (TIM) system enables two-way communication between the tractor and attached implements, optimizing productivity and efficiency.

Electrical Weed Control Reaches Inaccessible Areas with AGXTEND XPower XPA

In addition to the powerful tractor, STEYR® Traktoren has introduced the AGXTEND XPower XPA system, a collaboration with Zasso, revolutionizing weed control in hard-to-access areas. The XPower XPA system combines the proven capabilities of the XPU unit with a hydraulic arm, allowing efficient weed control in areas like embankments and alongside/beneath guardrails.

The AGXTEND XPower XPA system offers a 1.2m working width and a working speed of 1.0-5.0 km/h, effectively incapacitating weeds with its 8,000-volt capacity, including invasive and chemical-resistant plant species. The system's environmentally responsible approach ensures fast and efficient weed control without the need for harmful chemicals.

Group Verschueren has developed, manufactured, and installed the hydraulic arm, which is compatible with tractors of 200hp and above. The arm's large operating radius extends up to 7.2m from the center of the tractor to the center of the XPA unit, providing exceptional reach for optimal weed control. The hydraulic arm is fully integrated into the tractor frame, ensuring stability and ease of operation through electrical proportional control.

The AGXTEND XPower XPA system incorporates a 360-degree control head with an automatic leveling function and special XPower safety features, guaranteeing a safe and efficient weed control process.
