In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and support, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi recently welcomed a group of women farmers from Haryana into her residence. A video capturing the moments of joyous interaction and dance has since gone viral on social media platforms. The group of women farmers were the very same individuals with whom senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had engaged during his visit to the paddy fields in Madina village, Sonepat.

On July 8, during Rahul Gandhi's visit, some of the women farmers expressed their desire to see his house in Delhi. In response, Rahul Gandhi shared his personal setback of being disqualified from the Lok Sabha and consequently being evicted from his official residence in the capital. However, Sonia Gandhi extended a warm invitation to the women farmers, arranging transportation and hosting them for a delightful lunch at her residence.

Congress functionary Ruchira Chaturvedi shared the video of the interaction and lunch with Sonia Gandhi, expressing her admiration for the event on Twitter. Chaturvedi mentioned, "Chaturvedi stated that the women farmers from Haryana had expressed their wish to Rahul Gandhi to visit Delhi and see his house. In response, Rahul Gandhi informed them that his house had been taken away by the government."
