Farmers' outfit Samyukta Kisan Morcha said on Monday that if the government does not meet its demands, which include a minimum support price (MSP) law, debt waiver, and pension, it will be forced to launch another protest.

According to farmer leader Darshan Pal, a 15-member SKM delegation met Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at Krishi Bhawan in the afternoon and submitted a demand charter.

"There are several outstanding issues that necessitate another 'Andolan'. We will hold another meeting in Delhi on April 30. In the run-up to the meeting, I urge all farmer unions to hold rallies and panchayats in their respective states "he said, speaking to the farmers gathered at Ramila Maidan.

"We don't want to protest every day, but we have no choice. If the government does not respond to our demands, we will organize a larger andolan than the one against the farm laws "He stated.

Pal stated that the demands included an MSP law, complete debt waiver, pensions, crop insurance, the withdrawal of cases filed against farmers, and compensation for the families of farmers who died during protests against now-repealed farm laws.

The meeting will take place on April 30 in Delhi. "I request that all farmer unions hold rallies and panchayats in the run-up to the meeting," Pal said.
