Rockwell Automation & ISAP India Foundation Join Hands To Modernize Dairy Farming with IoT-Enabled Devices
The project commenced in May 2023 and focuses on implementing innovative solutions to address challenges faced by dairy farmers in the region.
In a new initiative, Rockwell Automation, in collaboration with ISAP India Foundation, is spearheading a project to modernize dairy farming practices in the water-scarce region of Antargaon, Maharashtra. The endeavour, titled "Economic and Social Development of Indian Village Through Technology-Enabled Dairy Farming," aims to leverage cutting-edge digital technologies to enhance livestock development and improve the livelihoods of local farmers.
The project, which commenced in May 2023, focuses on implementing innovative solutions to address challenges faced by dairy farmers in the region. One of the key components of the initiative involves the deployment of IoT-enabled collar devices to monitor the health parameters of dairy animals. Additionally, mobile phone-based alerts and advice from veterinary experts provide farmers with real-time support and guidance.
The collaboration with technology implementation partner eVerse.AI has been instrumental in leveraging advanced digital tools such as the CowGPT platform. This platform offers accurate insights and advisory services to farmers regarding animal health, ration balancing, and fodder development activities. Furthermore, the project includes the implementation of a muzzle-based biometric identification system to provide digital identity to animals, along with the issuance of a 12-digit Pashu Aadhar.
