Pune Farmer Transforms Junk into Electric Vintage Car, Embodies 'Make in India' Spirit: See Pic

Navghane's journey began with a simple dream: to own a classic car. But as a subsistence farmer, he knew that this would be a challenge. Navghane's story is also a reminder of the importance of community. 

With the support of his family and friends, Navghane was able to achieve his dream. His journey began after a trip to Delhi, where he saw an e-rickshaw and got inspired.

Without any prior experience, Navghane set out to build his dream car. He scoured local junk shops for spare parts and worked tirelessly with the support of his family and a friend. With no formal engineering background and limited resources, Navghane scavenged spare parts and in just six weeks he built an electric car for Rs 1.5 lakh, therefore he brought his dream car to life.

The result is a unique red electric car that runs on five batteries, offering a 100-kilometer range on a single charge, with a quick 5 to 6-hour recharge time. Navghane's creation exemplifies the spirit of "Make in India," showcasing that determination and resourcefulness can overcome challenges.

Since its completion, Navghane's electric car has become a local sensation. He has even performed a special ritual to commemorate Dussehra, honoring the car that represents the realization of his childhood dream. His entire family enjoys the experience of traveling in their self-made four-wheeler.
