Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha, inaugurated 'Krishi Mahotsav' in Kota

On January 24, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the two-day 'Krishi Mahotsav' agriculture festival in Rajasthan's Kota. It is organized by the Government of India, the Department of Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan's Department of Agriculture.

On January 24, Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla inaugurated the two-day 'Krishi Mahotsav' agriculture festival in Rajasthan's Kota. It is organized by the Government of India, the Department of Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan's Department of Agriculture.

Farmers were able to interact directly with more than 75 agriculture start-ups, progressive farmers, and agricultural product manufacturers at the Krishi Mahotsav exhibition. In addition, the exhibition provided information on innovations and technology. "Farmers must do modern farming alongside traditional farming to increase their income," Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told the media.

Information about various schemes of the Central and State Governments was disseminated through exhibitors at the Krishi Mahotsav exhibition. Additionally, private sector companies/institutions involved in the supply of various agricultural inputs displayed their products through stalls. 150 stalls were set up at this exhibition to provide farmers with up-to-date agricultural information. Considering the need for Startups in the agricultural field, 75 Startup stalls were also present, which was one of the main features of this exhibition.

Arrangements were made at the Krishi Mahotsav exhibition and training fair to provide farmers with training in modern and scientific agricultural techniques such as agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and dairy, among others. Subject matter experts have taught farmers the secrets of profitable farming.

The event is organized by the Government of India's Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan's Department of Agriculture. Furthermore, the goal of this two-day Mahotsav is to promote and develop Kota's agricultural sector and rural development.
