The announcement of tractor subsidies by the Odisha government reflects a proactive approach to supporting the farming community and promoting sustainable agriculture in the region.
In a significant development aimed at bolstering the agricultural sector, the Odisha government has announced subsidies on tractors as part of the ongoing District Level Krushi Mahotsav and Farm Mechanisation Mela. The announcement was made on the third day of the event, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
The chief guest of the day, Mahesh Patnaik, Chairman of Rayagada Municipal Council, revealed the government's initiative to provide subsidies on tractors, a crucial farm mechanization tool. This move is expected to benefit farmers in the region and contribute to enhancing agricultural productivity.
Farmers who have registered on the Sugam portal, sugam.odisha.gov.in, are eligible to avail themselves of these tractor subsidies along with other benefits on various farm mechanization products. The subsidies are aimed at making essential farming equipment more accessible to farmers and promoting the adoption of modern agricultural practices.
