No Heat Waves with Rainy Days Ahead, IMD Predicts Rainfall Across India
IMD has forecasted that there will be light to moderate widespread precipitation in certain areas of northwest India within the next 24 hours.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that numerous regions in India are expected to encounter significant rainfall in the upcoming days, and some of these areas may also be impacted by hailstorms.
IMD has forecasted that there will be light to moderate widespread rainfall in certain areas of northwest India within the next 24 hours. Furthermore, some locations may experience snowfall, as well as thunderstorms, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
On May 2, there will be heavy rainfall in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, while on May 4, there will be dust storms in western Rajasthan.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of hailstorms occurring in East Madhya Pradesh on May 2nd. Meanwhile, the other regions of central India are expected to experience scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds during the next two days. However, the intensity of these weather conditions will gradually decrease over time.
Heavy rainfall is predicted to occur in the southern states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu on May 2nd and 3rd. Hailstorms are expected in Telangana on May 2nd, while scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are expected to continue throughout southern India for the next five days.
In addition, the regions of Northeast India, specifically Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, are expected to experience significant precipitation from May 2 to 4. Moreover, there will be a continued occurrence of widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds for the following five days.
In the western part of India, specifically in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, a hailstorm is expected to occur on May 2. Additionally, over the next five days, the region will likely experience light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
Weather Forecast for the Next 5 Days
IMD has issued a forecast stating that there will be no significant temperature changes expected in the next two days, followed by an increase of 3-5 degrees Celsius. For Central India, there will be no significant temperature changes over the next 24 hours, with an expected rise of 3-5 degrees Celsius thereafter. Over the next five days, Gujarat is expected to experience a gradual increase of 2-3 degrees Celsius in maximum temperature. Additionally, no heat wave conditions are expected to occur over most parts of India in the next five days.
