NEXAT ‘All-in-One’ Machine Cultivating, Sowing, Spraying and Automatic Harvesting

The “complete crop production system” is based on a flexible network vehicle, which is driven across the field and straight to the roads. The technology required for each step in production can be installed as a module on the system tractor, and the system can work automatically. The company claims that switching modules can be done by one person in 10 minutes - with plans to perform this step automatically. The system does not require additional, separate sub-carriages.

The system has a working range from about 19 feet to about 79 feet. NEXAT electric generators are currently powered by two 550 hp independent diesel engines, but the system is being developed to power green hydrogen fuel cells. As each module is assembled, its weight is transferred to a network vehicle and upgraded to a self-propelled machine. This allows the equipment to be directed more precisely and smoothly, reducing car fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. NEXAT states that the system delivers 50% more power by 40% less power.

 

 

The car can be used for controlled traffic plowing and is designed to be fully self-contained because it has a constant range. NEXAT states that 95% of the arable land is no longer covered by machinery, providing a yield increase of about 10-20%. Typically, farm machinery covers more than 60-80% of the field. Felix Kalverkamp, ​​executive director of NEXAT, says that increase in yield could translate into a 20-50% increase in profits for the farmer.

The company assumes that farmers using the plant will reap additional benefits such as continuous soil development through continuous humus production, significant CO2 savings, and erosion control. Kalverkamp says environmental and economic sustainability has played an important role in machine development. The modular design reduces the cost of obtaining and saving energy by 20-40%, compared to conventional equipment.

The system has been successfully used in producing plants under real conditions for 3 years. He won the Agritechnica Innovation gold medal in 2022.

NEXAT was launched in 2017 by Kalverkamp Innovation GmbH in partnership with other agricultural producers. Swedish ag machinery company Väderstad has assisted with the development and adaptation of specific modular solutions, and plans to provide these with a new crop production system in the future. NEXAT is dedicated to the development, production and distribution of a new crop production system.
