New Holland Launches TE6 Straddle Tractors, Wins Plant Investment
The TE6 tractors are currently progressing through the Origine France Garantie certification process, which certifies products manufactured in France. These tractors will be available towards the end of 2023.
CNH Industrial, a global manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment, is set to invest €21.4 million ($19.6 million) in its New Holland Center of Excellence over the next two years. The facility, located in Coëx in the Vendée region of France, has been known as a global centre of excellence for speciality harvesting exports, producing mechanized grape and olive harvesters for worldwide distribution. This investment aims to enhance the site's manufacturing capacity and product development capability.
New Holland, the agricultural brand of CNH Industrial, has recently launched its new range of TE6 straddle tractors designed for narrow vineyards similar to those found in the Champagne region. The tractors have been developed in partnership with Turin-based design house Pininfarina and boast new features such as the Superlight steering system, Intelliflow hydraulic system, Intelliview IV Plus, and MyPLM Connect. The new tractors also have three independent tool zones for implement combinations and a hitch system that allows for tools to be hitched without leaving the cab, saving time and effort.
The TE6 tractors are powered by FPT Industrial Stage 5 engines and have a balanced power distribution system provided by the Intelliflow system. According to Thierry Le Briquer, the Global Product and Platform Manager for Grape, Olive, and Coffee Harvesters at New Holland, these tractors are multifunctional, manoeuvrable, compact, and powerful and have revolutionized the company's offering.
The TE6 tractors are currently progressing through the Origine France Garantie certification process, which certifies products manufactured in France. These tractors will be available towards the end of 2023.
This investment in the New Holland Center of Excellence and the launch of the TE6 straddle tractors underscore CNH Industrial's commitment to the agricultural sector, particularly in the development and production of speciality harvesters. This move is also expected to boost the local economy in Coëx, France, creating new jobs and generating revenue.
