Bringing cutting-edge technology to its clients, CNH Industrial recently unveiled the T7 Methane Power LNG pre-production prototype tractor as the next step in its Clean Energy journey. The T7 Methane Power LNG pre-production prototype tractor is promoted as the first commercially available tractor driven by natural gas. It offers farmers a sustainable solution for environmental improvement.

In comparison to a CNG design, the T7 Methane Power LNG will more than double autonomy while improving overall farm sustainability. Along with that, the T7 Methane Power LNG pre-production prototype tractor creates a four-fold increase in fuel capacity.

For the T7 Methane Power LNG tractor, Bennamann's patented non-venting cryogenic storage tanks maintain the methane as a liquid at -162°C, creating a new source of clean power. Additionally, because of the technology's ability to transport LNG similarly to how diesel can be transported, farms without the capability to produce LNG on-site can still take advantage. It also enables flexible in-field refueling during busy operational timeline.

Beyond its impressive environmental credentials and energy efficiency, this machine has practical future-facing upgrades that combine "Great Iron" with "Great Tech."

The clean blue color of the tractor represents the ahead-of-time smart aesthetic of New Holland and fits the brand's signature style. Moreover, this pre-production prototype's active temperature-controlled fuel system includes a stainless-steel cryogenic tank that is expertly molded to match its diesel counterparts, making the most of available space and efficiently storing LNG inside a functioning tractor.

Like New Holland's full production fleet, this prototype is outfitted with the most recent precision technology, PLM Intelligence, which enables the farmer to easily control cutting-edge guidance programs, assess all field data, and maintain wireless connectivity.

The T7 Methane Power LNG's brand-new technology has been tested extensively in a wide range of applications on numerous farms.
