He said that the innovation aligns with the principles of Precision Agriculture (SSCM), bringing about a new era of smart farming.
Agricultural drones are gaining rapid popularity due to their ability to collect precise data about crops and fields. This data empowers farmers to stay ahead of agricultural challenges, make informed decisions, and optimize their farming processes. Additionally, these drones contribute to cost reduction, improved crop quality, and increased yields, which are essential factors in ensuring food security and economic prosperity.
Dhaksha Agriculture drones, a significant player in this field, were highlighted during the event by JDA Sub-Mission Agricultural Mechanization, Medovilie Ladu. He emphasized that agricultural drones empower farmers to adapt to specific environmental conditions and make informed choices accordingly.
The data collected by these drones facilitates crop health monitoring, pest management, crop scouting, irrigation scheduling, and field soil analysis, all of which are critical aspects of modern agriculture. Moreover, drones enable precise assessments of crop damage, providing valuable insights for crop insurance and disaster management.
