The Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival 2023, showcasing a diverse range of mango varieties, continued to captivate a significant number of visitors from all corners of the state on Saturday.
The festival serves as an excellent platform for mango farmers to promote and market their produce, attracting enthusiastic crowds of people eager to savor the delicious fruits on display.
Among the participants, one notable farmer, Satish Chand Shukla, hailing from Yog Bihar Bagh situated on Para Road in Lucknow, proudly presented over 170 different varieties of mangoes. His remarkable efforts in mango cultivation techniques earned him recognition from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who commended his accomplishments during the inauguration of the Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival 2023 at Avadh Shilpgram in Lucknow.
During the ceremony, CM Yogi highlighted the immense demand for Uttar Pradesh's mangoes in European markets and urged farmers to explore opportunities for global export. Expressing his enthusiasm, he stated, "The markets of Europe are waiting for the mangoes of Uttar Pradesh. We must take the mangoes from here to every corner of the world."

Consequently, if a farmer exports mangoes to Russia, they can earn a net profit of over Rs. 600 per kilogram.
Furthermore, CM Yogi encouraged farmers to prioritize quality over shortcuts and tailor their products according to market demands. He highlighted the government's commitment to improving the income of farmers through the "Beej Se Bazar Tak" (from seed to market) approach. This comprehensive strategy focuses on supporting farmers at every stage of the agricultural value chain, ensuring their products reach lucrative markets and generate substantial returns.
