Mahindra Tractor Sales Report 2023- Records 18% Growth With Highest Ever Annual Sale of 407545 Units

In the month of March 2023, Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector achieved a notable sales milestone, having sold 35,014 tractors compared to the 29,763 tractors sold in March 2022. This indicates a significant increase of 18% in sales figures.

Out of the total tractor sales, 33,622 units were sold domestically, marking a growth rate of 20%. However, tractor exports experienced a decline of 16%, with 1,392 units sold in March 2023.

Furthermore, the company's annual sales for the fiscal year 2022-2023 have been recorded as the highest ever, with 407,545 units sold, encompassing both domestic and export business. This is a notable increase of 15% compared to the sales figures of the previous fiscal year, FY22.

Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has commented that, "the company has witnessed a 20% growth in tractor sales in the domestic market, having sold 33,622 tractors in March 2023 compared to the previous year. This increase in sales can be attributed to various factors such as the rise in crop output, stable mandi prices, government support in terms of increased Minimum Support Price (MSP) for major crops, and higher wages under the MGNREGA scheme. These factors are expected to enhance the financial stability of rural households, thereby boosting tractor demand soon. Additionally, the company has sold 1,392 tractors in the exports market."
