Maha CM Shinde Flags Off State-wide 'Shetkari Samvad Yatra' to Address Farmers' Concerns
The 'Shetkari Samvad Yatra' is expected to play a pivotal role in understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by Maharashtra's agricultural sector, reaffirming the government's commitment to the welfare of its farming community.
On Thursday, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated the state-wide 'Shetkari Samvad Yatra,' organized by the Shetkari Sena, a farmers' wing affiliated with the Shiv Sena party. The primary objective of this initiative is to gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges confronting farmers throughout the state and to apprise them of various government welfare schemes. Shetkari Sena representatives will actively participate in this yatra.
The inauguration ceremony took place at Tembhi Naka, a location that holds historical significance as the former operational base of the late Shiv Sena leader, Anand Dighe, who served as a mentor to Chief Minister Shinde.
As part of the yatra, Shetkari Sena office-bearers will personally visit farmers' households to better understand their issues and concerns. They will endeavor to address these problems promptly, whenever possible. In cases where a more in-depth discussion is necessary, the chief minister himself will connect with the farmers online to engage in dialogues and provide solutions. A statement released by CM Shinde's office outlined these details.

The 'Shetkari Samvad Yatra' is seen as a vital step in fostering direct communication between the farming community and the government. It seeks to bridge the gap and ensure that farmers' voices are heard and their issues resolved effectively.
