In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar unveiled the 'Shashwat Bharat Krushi Rath,' a mobile information center, to enhance farmers understanding of globally recognized sustainable, natural, and chemical-free farming practices
According to the announcement, the mobile center would be relocated around the country. According to the firm, the 'Shashwat Bharat Krushi Rath' will journey across India's villages in the following months.

"The rural world is much more than agriculture, yet agriculture has the greatest influence on the rural space, and agriculture's goods enable us to live in both rural and urban areas. We believe that this endeavor will be a model project that will promote social and environmental morality while also providing economic viability to our country's farmers. We intend to help the biggest amount of farmers in our nation with the takeaways from the Sustainable Farming and Rural Entrepreneurship Centre," stated Anand Chordia, founder of TEFF.

The 'Sustainable Farming and Rural Entrepreneurship Centre' at The Eco Factory Foundation (TEFF), a Maharashtra-based non-profit organization near Pune, is modeled after this mobile center. The center will also give information on relevant market linkages, post-harvest technology, and government programs and regulations relating to agricultural and allied businesses/start-ups, according to a TEFF release.
The center's mission is to boost farmers' economics by teaching them sustainable farming techniques and helping them develop sustainable farms. It will show the importance of sustainable agriculture from the ground up. The plantation calendar – what crops to grow and when to grow them, how to develop their products with the natural resources available on their farm, market connections – how to add value to their business in an efficient manner, how to sell their goods in the market, and other subjects will be covered.

This is parallel with the Centre's vision of having a sustainable agriculture emphasis on the country. Introducing sustainable agriculture is very much needed as India's soils will not be able to withstand much depletion of its' nutrient resource. Introducing sustainable agriculture to farmers by promoting proper information dissemination will ensure that they are able to tackle the challenge head-on and face it.
