IFFCO Unveils Cutting-Edge 'IFFCO Kisan Drone' for Agricultural Advancements
To facilitate the smooth deployment of the Kisan Drones, IFFCO will also procure 2500 electric three-wheelers of L-5 category, specially designed to transport the drones, Nano fertilizers, and associated utilities to farmers' fields.
The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has recently embarked on a grand nationwide campaign with a vision to transform Indian agriculture by introducing cutting-edge technologies and promoting sustainable practices. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Sahkar Se Samriddhi,' IFFCO aims to uplift the rural economy, foster holistic cooperative development, and pave the way for sustainable agriculture.
Central to this ambitious campaign is the introduction of "IFFCO Kisan Drones," a fleet of 2500 state-of-the-art agricultural drones designed to spray revolutionary products: Nano Urea and Nano DAP. In collaboration with the Drone Federation of India, IFFCO has ensured that these agri drones meet the highest industry standards in terms of technical capabilities, quality processes, and safety protocols.
The primary objective of this initiative is not only to improve the efficiency and productivity of agriculture but also to create approximately 5,000 rural entrepreneurs who will be specially trained in operating the Kisan Drones for spraying Nano fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers (WSF), bio-stimulants like Sagarika, agro-chemicals, and more.
According to IFFCO's statement, each drone is expected to cover an impressive 20 acres per day, making it a highly effective and time-efficient solution for farmers. With the ability to carry out precise and controlled spraying, these drones will enhance the efficacy of Nano fertilizers while reducing chemical fertilizer doses, aligning with the government's PM PRANAM Scheme.
To facilitate the smooth deployment of the Kisan Drones, IFFCO will also procure 2500 electric three-wheelers of L-5 category, specially designed to transport the drones, Nano fertilizers, and associated utilities to farmers' fields. This move not only reinforces IFFCO's commitment to sustainable practices but also supports the adoption of eco-friendly electric vehicles in the agricultural sector.

Expanding its commitment to revolutionize Indian agriculture, IFFCO has additionally ordered a range of advanced equipment, including Tractor Mounted Boom Sprayers, Tractor Mounted Hose Reel Sprayers, HTP Power Sprayers with Gun, Static/Portable Sprayer, and Niyo Sprayers. These devices will enable foliar application of Nano fertilizers on various crops, further enhancing their effectiveness and promoting healthy crop growth.
IFFCO's Chairman highlighted that this campaign is not limited to introducing agro-technologies but also encompasses rural e-commerce, digital enablement for farmers and farms, and the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in agricultural practices. By promoting nanotechnology-based fertilizers and the adoption of agri-drones, IFFCO envisions becoming a trailblazer for modern Indian agriculture.
The nationwide campaign has garnered enthusiastic support from farmers and agricultural experts alike, who believe that these technological advancements will play a pivotal role in driving India's agricultural growth while ensuring sustainability and prosperity for rural communities.
With IFFCO at the helm of this transformative journey, Indian agriculture is poised to reach new heights, blending innovation and tradition to secure a brighter future for farmers and the nation as a whole.
