ICAR Deputy Director General Dr. US Gautam Inaugurates National Review Workshop on 'Farmer First Project'

In a bid to bolster agricultural innovation and uplift the socio-economic status of farmers, Dr. US Gautam, Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), inaugurated a three-day national review workshop on the 'Farmer First Project.' The event, held at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, brought together approximately 150 delegates from across the country.

Addressing the audience, Dr. US Gautam emphasized the pivotal role of scientists in developing effective strategies to extend valuable farm technology. He urged the scientific community to focus on implementing solutions that would contribute to the overall well-being of farmers. The chief guest's remarks highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to enhance agricultural practices, ultimately elevating the living standards of those working in the agricultural sector.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr. DK Vatsa, delivered a compelling presidential address during the workshop.
