Hyderabad to Host G20 Agricultural Meeting on June 15-17

The G20 event will feature various international organizations, government entities of India, and private sector participants. The meeting will span four days, with one day dedicated to officials' discussions and the remaining three days reserved for ministerial deliberations.

An official has announced that Hyderabad will now serve as the venue for the significant G-20 Agriculture Ministers' Meeting scheduled to take place from June 15 to 17. Earlier this year, Hyderabad already played host to G20 meetings organized by the Skill Ministry, Finance Ministry, and Health Ministry, and a concluding meeting is set to be held in the city.

India, as the current G20 presidency, has been conducting a series of meetings across the country since January. Over 250 meetings have taken place in 56 cities thus far. The Union Minister has stressed the significance of the agricultural sector, both within India and globally. The upcoming meetings are scheduled for June 15, 16, and 17. 

Union Minister G Kissan Reddy has emphasized the significance of the agriculture sector, both domestically and globally. He announced that crucial meetings are scheduled to take place on June 15, 16, and 17. The Minister further revealed that representatives from 20 countries, along with nine specially invited guests from other nations, will participate in these meetings.

He further revealed that the forthcoming meeting will primarily focus on discussions about food grain production, in addition to other significant issues concerning both the country and the world. "Any G20 meeting holds immense importance as it sets the course for 85 percent of global GDP, 75 percent of international trade, and encompasses 70 percent of the world's population within its member countries. The upcoming meetings in Hyderabad will primarily delve into topics such as food grain production, sharing best agricultural practices from various nations, exchanging technological advancements, and devising strategies to address a wide range of environmental concerns," he expressed.

The Union Minister expressed his vision of providing food to every individual worldwide, aiming to eliminate hunger globally. He also conveyed his appreciation for Hyderabad being chosen as the host city for these important meetings, considering it a source of pride for the people of Telangana.

The venue for the meetings will be the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The event will feature various international organizations, government entities of India, and private sector participants.
