Good News For Farmers- Tamil Nadu Farmers Will Receive Loans For Drones
Farmers in Tamil Nadu will now be able to obtain loans to purchase drones capable of spraying fertilizer in agricultural fields. Recently Dhaksha Unmanned Systems Pvt Ltd, an Anna University-backed drone manufacturing startup, has signed an agreement with the Union Bank of India to provide drone loans to farmers. According to a statement, this will make it easier for beneficiaries to obtain Kisan drones.

Recently Dhaksha Unmanned Systems Pvt Ltd, an Anna University-backed drone manufacturing startup, has signed an agreement with the Union Bank of India to provide drone loans to farmers. According to a statement, this will make it easier for beneficiaries to obtain Kisan drones.
Dhaksha promotes agriculture drones, and its Agrigator (DH-AG-H1) is the only certified petrol engine-based hybrid drone that does not require battery charging regularly. These drones, priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh, provide a world-class UAV solution, according to the director and CEO Ramanathan Narayanan.
The Anna University-supported drone manufacturing startup has developed an agricultural drone, DH-AG-HI or Agrigator drone, which is the only certified petrol engine-based hybrid drone that does not require frequent battery changes. Each of these agro drones will cost between Rs 10 and Rs 12 lakh.
The Union Bank of India will provide loans to farmers for the purchase of drones. The Union Government is also promoting the drone ecosystem to raise awareness about the assistance that drones can provide to modern agriculture.
Farmers and Agripreneurs will be provided with subsidy schemes to promote drones among the state's farming community. The Tamil Nadu agriculture budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 emphasizes the use of technology such as drones and information technology, as well as the involvement of major industries, to ensure remunerative prices for farmers.
The state agricultural department is raising awareness about drone technology by providing adequate drone training.
