Golden Opportunity- Farmers Can Obtain A Solar Pump, As A First Come, First Served Basis Scheme

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to subsidize solar pumps for farmers through the PM Kusum Yojana. Farmers across the state will be given solar pump sets on a first-come, first-served basis. Farmers must register on the departmental website for this purpose.
The Solar Pump Must Be Registered For Subsidy Under The PM Kusum Yojana

Solar pumps will be subsidized
According to the announcement, the state government will provide farmers with solar pumps to help with agricultural irrigation. Farmers will be given grants to install solar pumps ranging from 2 to 10 HP that runs on solar energy. Farmers will receive the benefits of the solar pump scheme on a first-come, first-served basis. Farmers must deposit the booking amount via estimated cost bank draft along with the application. The selected company will install the solar pump in the farmers' field after the government has verified their eligibility.
Solar pumps will be installed in all of the state's districts
According to the information, the state government has decided to distribute solar pumps on a grant in all districts of the Saharanpur, Meerut, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur divisions beginning October 20, 2022. Pumps will be distributed on a grant basis beginning October 21 in all districts of the Devipatan, Agra, Bareilly, Moradabad, Azamgarh, and Basti divisions. Furthermore, beginning October 22, 2022, you can apply for solar pumps on a grant in all districts of Kanpur Prayagraj, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Mirzapur, and Varanasi divisions.

The decision was made to provide solar pumps on a first come, first served basis
According to the sources, the Deputy Director of Agriculture says that in the first phase, for the farmers who have booked capacity-wise online and whose names are on the waiting list, the number of such farmers will be determined on a first-come-first-served basis. New farmers will be booked using online tokens on a first-come, first-served basis only after the booking is confirmed within the capacity-wise target limits.
Conditions and guidelines for a solar pump grant
- Solar pump installations can be requested by farmer groups, farmer production organizations, cooperative societies, panchayats, and water consumer associations.
- The farmer should have a constant source of irrigation, and the solar pump should be set up or used following the needs of the desired water storage structure.
- This solar pump is used to irrigate agricultural land.
- Solar pumps will be distributed to farmers on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The scheme is open to all state farmers who do not have an agricultural electricity connection.
- New solar pumps will not be installed in over- and under-exploited areas, but if farmers use micro-irrigation technology, existing diesel pump sets can be converted to solar pumps.
- Farmers must register on the departmental website to benefit from the Solar Pump Grant Scheme.
- The farmers on the waiting list will be chosen first.
- Boring of four inches is required for two HP, six inches for three and five HP, and eight inches for 7.5 and ten HP. Boring must be done by the farmer himself.
- Two HP Surfaces up to 22 feet, Two HP Submersibles up to 50 feet, Three HP Submersibles up to 150 feet, Five HP Submersibles up to 200 feet, 7.5 HP and 10 HP Submersible solar pumps for available water levels up to 300 feet.
