Get Up To 75% Subsidy on Irrigation Equipment; More Irrigation Will be Possible With Less Water

In light of all of these issues, the Rajasthan government has emphasized farmers' initiative to change farming methods.

In light of all of these issues, the Rajasthan government has emphasized farmers' initiative to change farming methods.

New crop irrigation options are also being investigated. So that the exploitation of underground water in agriculture is reduced, more production can be obtained with less water, and every drop of water can be used properly. The Rajasthan Horticulture Department is promoting drip, mini sprinkler, and sprinkler irrigation technology for this purpose.

The Rajasthan government offers up to a 75% subsidy to small/marginal / Women / ST / SC farmers who set up micro irrigation plants. At the same time, other farmers can receive up to a 70% subsidy.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, the Rajasthan Agriculture Department and Agricultural Horticulture Department provide a percentage-based subsidy on micro-irrigation machines to various categories of farmers.

Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers, as well as scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and women farmers receive up to a 75% grant on micro irrigation plants, while all other categories of farmers receive micro irrigation (micro irrigation). Subsidies are provided for 70% of the total cost of irrigation plants.

Eligibility for Micro Irrigation Equipment Subsidies

Interested farmers who have their land and water source are eligible for this scheme. Beneficiaries/institutions that engage in horticulture/cultivation on contract farming or lease agreement land for a minimum of 07 years will also be eligible for the scheme's benefits. If the beneficiary owns a well with two other people, they can also participate in this scheme. Farmers who do not have their water source can benefit from this scheme by signing a letter with the consent of farmers who do have a water source.

Members of cooperative societies, self-help groups, incorporated companies, Panchayati Raj institutions, non-cooperative institutions, trusts, and members of producer farmer groups will also benefit from the scheme. Farmers can also get a subsidy if they buy BSI-marked plants from registered manufacturers in the Horticulture Department.

Farmers who wish to benefit from the scheme's subsidy on drip and sprinkler micro-irrigation machines must submit all necessary documents such as the applicant's Aadhar card, passport size photo, documents of agricultural land, BhamaShah card, a deposit of land (copy of the farm), mobile number, residence certificate, bank account passbook, certificate of electricity connection like bill, affidavit, printed bill of plant, etc.
