Indian agricultural drone leader Garuda Aerospace has secured a significant order for 500 Kisan drones from 10 leading fertilizer companies participating in the NaMo Drone Didi scheme. This government initiative empowers women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs) to become key players in rural development and agricultural supply chains.

These companies include Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT), National Fertilizers Limited (NFL),  KRIBHCO Fertilizers, Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC), Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL), Matix Fertilizers & Chemicals, Pradeep Phosphates (PPL), Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF), and Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation (BVFCL). The company expresses its dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology for agricultural enhancement.

This collaboration represents a major win for both Garuda Aerospace and the Indian agricultural sector. The Kisan drones, equipped with AI, ML, and GPS technology, offer farmers precision spraying of fertilizers and pesticides, leading to reduced chemical usage, improved water efficiency, and faster coverage of large areas. This translates to increased crop yields, potentially up to 60% higher, and reduced crop loss by 20%, ultimately boosting farmer income and agricultural productivity.

Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the transformative potential of drones in Indian agriculture. He emphasized the company's dedication to advocating for the use of this technology and its dedication to working alongside the government and fertilizer companies to unlock the numerous benefits of drone technology for farmers.
