G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting Commences Today in Hyderabad

The G20 Agriculture Ministerial meeting is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad, spanning three days from June 15 to June 17, 2023. With participation from over 200 delegates, including Agriculture Ministers from different countries and Director Generals of international organizations, the event is anticipated to draw significant attention.

The G20 Agriculture Ministerial meeting is set to take place in Hyderabad, spanning three days from June 15 to June 17, 2023. Over 200 delegates, including Agriculture Ministers from various nations and Director Generals of international organizations, are expected to attend the event.

Today will feature the opening of a prominent exhibition showcasing India's accomplishments in agriculture and related sectors, presided over by Shri Kailash Choudhary, the Honorable Minister of State, MoA&FW.

The day will also include the Agriculture Deputies Meeting (ADM) and two side events focused on agribusiness management and the utilization of digital technologies in agriculture, featuring participation from leading Indian agriculture companies, start-ups, and government agencies.

The second day of the G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting in Hyderabad will kick off with a warm welcome from Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, the esteemed Union Agriculture Minister, to the participating Ministers and Heads of Delegation.

The agenda for the day encompasses crucial discussions on "Promoting Sustainable Agriculture for Food Security and Nutrition" and engaging in a high-level Ministerial Dialogue focused on women-led agriculture, sustainable biodiversity, and climate solutions. These discussions will take place simultaneously in three separate sessions.

On the third and final day of the Ministerial Meeting, the outcomes of the Agriculture Working Group, led by the Indian Presidency, will be adopted. To further enrich their knowledge, the delegation will then embark on a technical excursion to the ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) in Hyderabad.
