"Coming from a small town, the essence of farming was always close to my heart," Dhoni shared. "Though we had been farming on a smaller scale, the pandemic presented a unique window to expand our efforts." As international cricket took a back seat due to lockdowns and safety protocols, Dhoni seized the chance to immerse himself in his newfound passion.
The revered Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain drew parallels between his cricketing career and farming, noting the captivating process of nurturing crops. He marvelled at the rapid growth of crops like bhindi (ladyfinger), comparing it to the swift transformation of a young player into a seasoned professional. "Just like a bhindi's growth overnight, the journey from a tender seed to a mature plant is a spectacle that never ceases to amaze me," Dhoni quipped.
Currently, Dhoni's schedule offers him more time to dedicate to his farm, thanks to his exclusive involvement in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While his wife Sakshi efficiently manages their various businesses, including Dhoni Entertainment, their film production venture that recently celebrated its debut release, Dhoni himself revels in spending time amid the green fields and also indulges in his passion for automobiles.
