Fendt Unveils Electric e107V Tractor at Agritechnica, Orders Open in 2024
At the upcoming Agritechnica trade fair, Fendt is set to reveal a new version of its electric e100 tractor, the e107V. Orders for this innovative electric tractor will open during the event, with limited production slated to begin in 2024 for Germany, Norway, and The Netherlands. Full-scale series production is planned for 2025.

While the e107V maintains the same conceptual framework as the prototype, it has undergone significant improvements. Built on the foundation of a V-series narrow-track tractor, the e107V closely resembles its diesel counterpart in terms of external appearance. Notable differences include the absence of an exhaust system and a slightly taller hood.
The core of the e107V remains the same as the prototype, with a battery pack located under the hood and a single electric motor simulating the functionality of a diesel engine. This setup allows the tractor to retain its standard Vario transmission, minimizing the need for multiple motors with equivalent power.

Charging the e107V is convenient, using the same chargers commonly employed for electric cars. The tractor's battery can sustain 4 to 5 hours of work equivalent to the consumption of 5 to 6 liters of diesel in conventional tractors.
One notable feature of the e107V is the ability for users to customize the motor power via the terminal. Options include selecting 50 kW, 55 kW, or a brief surge to 66 kW. The chosen power level directly impacts the working duration on a single charge.
According to Fendt, the e107V can operate for 4 to 5 hours under typical tractor loads, which is in line with narrow-track tractors' usage patterns. Charging from 20% to 80% can be achieved in just 40 minutes using a fast charger. The pricing for the e107V is expected to range from 50% to 100% higher than that of its diesel counterparts, depending on the selected options.

One noteworthy enhancement is the inclusion of a front PTO (Power Take-Off), a feature not present in the prototype. Furthermore, Fendt has committed to using only certified components, shifting away from sourcing parts from start-ups to partnering with established suppliers in the automotive sector.
Fendt has already allocated production space in its factory for electric tractors, with the assembly process integrated into the standard production line. The high-voltage electrical components are installed in a separate room through a bypass system. While specific production numbers and market potential have not been disclosed, Fendt's foray into electric tractors marks a significant step forward in agricultural technology.
