Farmers Register For This Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme And Earn Some Extra Money Today!

Indian government continuously makes efforts to increase the income of farmers. Farmers always look out for solutions to make their farming expenses more pocket-friendly and with the help of these schemes’ the government tries to make farmers more self-reliant thus cutting the cost of outside expenses. The Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme introduced by the Government of Rajasthan provides an additional source of income to farmers and electricity for their farming irrigation process. 

The Portal of Agriculture Livelihood Scheme 

The Krishi Aajeevika Yojana Rajasthan portal has been launched. Farmers who want to take advantage of this scheme can register using this method. So far, 7217 (seven thousand two hundred and seventeen) farmers have signed up for this programme. Currently, over 34621 (thirty-four thousand six hundred and twenty-one) people have visited the scheme's website. On October 17, 2022, Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati launched the portal www.skyrajasthan.org.in for the Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme. This portal will assist farmers and developers in establishing solar power plants on their sterile/unfeasible farmland.

How Much Subsidy Will Be Provided For Solar Power Panels? 

• Developers will be eligible for a central grant (30% of the cost) under the PM Kusum Yojana for the establishment of plants under the Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana. 

• The state government will create a tripartite agreement between the landowner/farmer, the developer, and the concerned discom or company to protect the landowner/farmer from risk.

• With this decision, environmental pollution will be reduced, and the general public will benefit from increased solar energy production and decreased reliance on traditional energy sources.

How Much Money Will Be Required To Set Up A Solar Power Plant?

At the time of registration, the developer must pay a fee of Rs. 5900. At the same time, the farmer must pay a registration fee of Rs. 1180. Only after that will the DISCOM verify the land by scrutinizing the application.

Look Out For These Eligibility Criteria And T&C For Applying To The Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme 

The following are the eligibility and registration conditions for land owners and developers.

• Any landowner (including individuals/groups of farmers, registered cooperative societies, organizations/associations/institutions, and so on).

• Farmers/landowners (individual / group) interested in registering at least 1 hectare of single land can do so.

• The distance between barren land and the substation should not exceed 5 km.

• In the case of a group of farmers/landowners, the group must execute a proper Power of Attorney in favor of one of the nominees.

• Any solar power developer can register himself in this scheme, which is the eligibility condition for developers to register on the portal.

Get These Documents Ready To Apply For Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme 

• Aadhar card of the applicant. 

• Applicant’s residence proof. 

• Applying for farmer’s land ownership certificate. 

• Farm title deeds. 

• Bank passbook of the applicant. 

• Passport-size photograph of the applicant. 

• The mobile number is linked to the Aadhar card. 

The Process To Register In Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme

• To join-in in this scheme, farmers must complete the registration process by entering their mobile number, name, and OTP on the portal www.skayrajasthan.org. by selecting the farmer login or developer login option and clicking the register button. 

• At the time of registration, the developer must pay a fee of Rs 5900. After registering, you must log in using the user ID and password you were given. 

• After logging in, select the appropriate 33/11 KW substation from the list.

• After that, an application form appears on the screen; after uploading the required documents, pay the Rs 1180 registration fee. 

• Following that, the DISCOM will verify the land by inspecting the application.
