As the world witnesses the convergence of technology and traditional sectors, Dhaksha's achievements illustrate the ability of companies to leverage cutting-edge advancements for enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity.
Chennai-based Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, a subsidiary of Coromandel International, has achieved a significant milestone by securing two substantial contracts for the supply of drones, with a combined value of ₹165 crore. The company's prowess in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) has been highlighted through these orders, one of which is from the Indian Army and the other from the prominent agri inputs cooperative IFFCO.
The first order comprises 200 medium-altitude logistics drones and associated accessories, earmarked for deployment by the Indian Army. This strategic move underscores the recognition of Dhaksha's technological capabilities and its capacity to deliver advanced UAS solutions. The Executive Vice-Chairman of Coromandel International, Arun Alagappan, emphasized that this defence contract not only reinforces Dhaksha's position in the UAS domain but also opens doors for the Murugappa group to contribute significantly to the defence sector's supplies.
The second contract involves the production and delivery of 400 input-spraying drones to IFFCO, a leading cooperative in the field of agricultural inputs. These drones are expected to revolutionize the agricultural landscape by providing an efficient and precise method of input distribution. The decision by IFFCO to partner with Dhaksha underscores the company's reputation for innovation and reliability in the unmanned systems market.
