Cricket Legend Dhoni Backed Garuda’s 'Droni' to Help Farmers & Improve Aerial Photography
Indian drone tech startup, Garuda Aerospace, launches Droni, a nano drone backed by cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni. With advanced features and an affordable price, Droni aims to provide consumer photography and benefit farmers.
Garuda Aerospace, a prominent drone tech startup based in India, has successfully launched its latest product, Droni, a nano drone designed for the consumer photography and cinematography market.
The compact, foldable quadcopter, weighing 250 gm is equipped with an 11-mode intelligent flight system, including options like "follow-me" and "time-lapse.
Droni packs a punch and it empowers users to capture stunning aerial footage with ease. The 48-megapixel camera and wide-angle lens capture crisp, high-quality images, while the three-axis mechanical gimbal ensures smooth, stabilized shots even in windy conditions. The impressive 60-minute flight time allows for extended creative exploration without frequent battery changes.
The launch of Droni is mostly about making aerial photography and videography more accessible to a wider audience. The drone is priced at ₹1.4 lakh, but an exclusive introductory offer on Amazon allows customers to purchase it for ₹85,000. This price is significantly more affordable than comparable options, further fueled by the backing of cricket legend and company investor Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This strategic partnership leverages Dhoni's immense popularity to generate excitement and interest among potential customers.
India's growing drone market, currently boasting over 7 lakh consumer drones and nano drones, presents a fertile ground for Droni's success. These sub-250g drones, exempt from pilot licenses and DGCA certifications, offer a user-friendly entry point into the world of aerial videography. Garuda Aerospace's timely foray into this segment, coupled with its established reputation for cost-effective drone solutions across various industries, positions it as a frontrunner in the race to capture market share.
