BJP Kisan Morcha Celebrates 3rd Farmer's Day, Advocates for Agriculture Advancements in Meghalaya

The BJP Kisan Morcha organized a significant gathering on Monday to mark the 3rd Farmer's Day, a unique platform facilitating the exchange of ideas aimed at ensuring a brighter future for Meghalaya's extensive farming community. Held at the party's office, the event saw the convergence of various stakeholders, including prominent farmer leaders, agriculture scientists, policy makers, and individuals with practical knowledge of farming practices.
Chief guest John F. Kharsiing emphasized the critical role of farmers and the soil as the country's two essential assets. He highlighted that without these, there would be nothing to sustain life, underscoring the significance of supporting the agricultural community.
Ralden Bryan Shabong, President of BJP Kisan Morcha, Meghalaya, emphasized that an overwhelming majority of the state's citizens are farmers.He emphasized, "For society and the state to achieve the envisioned progress, it is crucial to provide the farming community with comprehensive support in terms of financial, scientific, and logistical assistance. This will enable them to shape a more promising future."

Shabong pledged the party's commitment to ensuring that various agriculture-focused schemes initiated by the Central government, steered by the BJP, reach the grassroots. He affirmed that the party would go all out to support the farmers and contribute to their overall well-being.

In his concluding remarks, Bijit Khongsit, General Secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha, Meghalaya Pradesh, reminded the gathering of Prime Minister Modi Ji's vision. He quoted, "The four main castes in this country are poor, youth, women, and farmers; we must continue to work towards their betterment." Khongsit stressed the party's dedication to the holistic development of these crucial segments of society.
