These products give assurance of providing good soil health benefits and increase water availability in arid regions.

Through its extensive research, BAU has also obtained its first-ever patent for “Multi-Nutrient Nanoclay Polymer Composite” (MNCPn ic) and its further procedures for the synthesis of the same products from the Controller General Of Patients, Design And Trade Marks, Government Of India.

Researchers also told that this Nano Phosphorous Fertilizer which is a liquid fertilizer consists of a phosphorous nutrient premix that includes particulates of ionized phosphorous embedded in the colloidal amino acid matrix. They also consist of beneficial enzymes like phytase and phosphate, which have vast use in agriculture and for animal feed supplementation. Phytase enzyme also has vast applications in agricultural fertilization programs.

Apart from being non-toxic, Nano Phosphorous Fertilizer has the capability to recover lost nutrients through remineralization. The application of Nano phosphates will help to gain more nutrients and increase the water-holding capacity of the soil. It will be very beneficial in acquiring crop maturity at the correct time.

Addressing Hydro Gels, scientists told that Hydro Gel is a three-dimensional network structure, which has the capacity to imbibe heavy amounts of water. They are a form of polymer networks like collagen or gelatin which will be difficult to dissolve.

Scientists claim that Hydro gel will be able to reduce drought stress in plants. It will help to use the irrigation water and fertilizer efficiently. Adding a sufficient amount of Hydro gel polymers will be able to assist the permeability, structure, density, texture, and several others.

Dr. N Mandal, assistant professor in the nanoscience and nanotechnology unit, Department of Soil Science And Agricultural Chemistry BAU have also told that these two leading products will help the agriculture sector to boost its economy, and will keep the resources conserved.

BAU Vice Chancellor, Dr.D R Singh told that “We have already got the first patent rights of the MNCPC recently”.He also added that “We have already filed for patent rights for the two latest researches and after securing it will be assisting in the commercial production of all the three patented products”.
