Recently 3F Oil Palm, one of the leading Oil Palm Plantation and Processing Company have collaborated with the State Government of Assam to promote agriculture development and establish a strong base for agriculture to contribute more towards the economy.

The event was held at Baginadi, Bokanala, Lakhimpur in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Horticulture, Assam, Atul Bora.
The program included the plantation of oil palm under the National Mission on Edible Oil -Oil Palm (NMEO-OP). Higher officials and authorities also participated in this prestigious ceremony.

The partnership between 3F Oil Palm and the Assam Government aims to improve the livelihoods of farming communities and support India's self-sufficiency in edible oils. The establishment of the initial Oil Palm Plantation under the NMEO-OP in Assam demonstrates the government's dedication to the growth and advancement of the Oil Palm Plantation industry.

In line with their industry expertise, 3F Oil Palm has already established a cutting-edge oil palm nursery in Bokulbari village, located in the Lakhimpur district, and has plans for another nursery in Chirang. The company's strong commitment to the development and processing of oil palm led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Government of Assam in December 2022. Under the NMEO-OP initiative, 3F Oil Palm aims to foster the growth of oil palm plantations and processing facilities in sub-zones 1-b and V-a, encompassing the districts of Lakhimpur and Chirang.

On this prestigious occasion, Sanjay Goenka, Managing Director and CEO of Oil Palm enlighted upon the significance of ceremonial plantation. Expressing his enthusiasm, he remarked, "The ceremonial plantation of Oil Palm under the NMEO-OP marks a crucial milestone in the growth of the Oil Palm industry in Assam. It fills me with great pride to announce that we are the pioneers in initiating our investment, establishing a cutting-edge nursery, and commencing plantation activities through this auspicious ceremony. This significant step showcases our commitment to advancing the sector and highlights the progress we have achieved thus far."

3F Oil Palm is embarking on an ambitious endeavor to develop 23,500 hectares of Oil Palm plantations within the next five years. As part of this initiative, the company is actively searching for an appropriate land parcel to establish a new processing plant. By doing so, they aim to augment the value chain and make significant contributions to the sector's overall expansion, leading to a transformative impact on the agricultural landscape of the North East region. Furthermore, 3F Oil Palm has plans to establish a greenfield integrated Oil Palm processing unit in Arunachal Pradesh shortly.
