In a bid to enhance agricultural productivity and connect farmers with cutting-edge technology, the Bihar Agriculture Department is gearing up for its second post-pandemic Agricultural Mechanization Fair. Scheduled for February 8th to 11th at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, the fair aims to encourage broader adoption of agricultural equipment amongst the state's farmers.
Subsidy for 110 Agricultural Machines
Under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme, subsidies will be extended to approximately 110 types of machines showcased at the fair. From manual implements like hoes to tractors, a significant emphasis will be placed on subsidizing agricultural equipment. The fair promises a subsidy range of 40 to 80 percent on various machines, encouraging farmers to adopt advanced mechanization. Farmers who have already received approval letters for equipment purchases will be able to avail their subsidies during the fair, streamlining the process and minimizing delays.
