AEGF and Mastercard Launch 'Bharat Kisan Manch' to Empower Indian Farmers Digitally
The launch of the Bharat Kisan Manch is not just a step forward in digitizing agriculture but also a significant stride towards improving the livelihoods of those who have dedicated their lives to feeding the nation.
In a groundbreaking partnership aimed at revolutionizing the agricultural landscape of India, the Agri Entrepreneur Growth Foundation (AEGF) and Mastercard have unveiled the "Bharat Kisan Manch," a cutting-edge digital platform tailored to meet the needs of farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs. This collaborative effort is poised to usher in a new era of prosperity for rural communities across the country.
The primary goal of this initiative is to expedite the digital transformation of millions of smallholder farmers and tens of thousands of rural entrepreneurs who have been nurtured by the AEGF. Through the Bharat Kisan Manch, these individuals will have the means to bolster their income by reducing input costs, increasing output prices, gaining access to credit facilities, and receiving invaluable crop advisory services.
Rajendra Jog, Director of AEGF, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This collaboration will accelerate the digitization of millions of smallholder farmers and tens of thousands of rural entrepreneurs incubated by the Foundation. This will help the smallholders to enhance their income by reducing the input cost and increasing the output price, and will provide access to credit and crop advisory, leveraging the Bharat Kisan platform."
Key highlights of the Bharat Kisan Manch include:
(1.) Powered by Mastercard's Community Pass: The platform will be driven by Mastercard's Community Pass, offering farmers a seamless and efficient way to receive payments for their produce. This innovation will enable farmers to receive payments more swiftly and reliably.
(2.) Access to New Markets: By integrating Mastercard's digital infrastructure with AEGF's agricultural network, farmers will gain access to new marketplaces and a broader pool of potential buyers, significantly expanding their reach and revenue potential.
(3.) Initial Rollout: The Bharat Kisan Manch will make its debut in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. Over time, it will be gradually extended to other regions of India, ensuring that farmers nationwide can benefit from its services.

Additionally, the initiative aims to create sustainable livelihoods for 100,000 agricultural entrepreneurs within the same timeframe.
(5.) Three-Year Impact: Over the next three years, this visionary initiative is set to bring tangible benefits to farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs, fostering economic growth and stability in rural India.
The launch of the Bharat Kisan Manch is not just a step forward in digitizing agriculture but also a significant stride towards improving the livelihoods of those who have dedicated their lives to feeding the nation.
