3. Dhaksha Unmanned Systems:

Chennai-based Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, founded in 2019 by Ramanathan Narayanan, has quickly made a mark in the drone industry. The startup offers seven drone-based solutions catering to sectors such as agriculture, mining, defense, and surveillance. Dhaksha Unmanned Systems manufactures both battery-operated and petrol-engine-based drones, and its AgriGator drone has received a 'Type Certificate' from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

In addition to its technological advancements, the startup has gained recognition through its selection for the government's PLI scheme, which aims to stimulate drone and drone component manufacturing in India. With recent funding from Dare Ventures, Dhaksha Unmanned Systems is poised to further expand its offerings and continue its impressive growth trajectory.\

5. Garuda Aerospace:

Chennai-based Garuda Aerospace, founded in 2015 by Agnishwar Jayaprakash, has gained recognition for its versatile drone offerings. The startup designs, builds, and customizes drones for various purposes, including event photography, agricultural surveys, reconnaissance, surveillance, and more.

Garuda Aerospace has partnered with foodtech unicorn Swiggy for drone grocery delivery trials and has received substantial orders from countries such as Malaysia, Panama, and the UAE. The startup recently attracted investments from renowned cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ocgrow Ventures, further fueling its ambitious plans for expansion, including a targeted Series B funding of $100-150 million.

6. IoTechWorld:

Delhi NCR-based IoTechWorld, founded in 2017 by Anup Kumar Upadhyay and Deepak Bhardwaj, has established itself as a prominent drone Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The startup focuses on manufacturing drones for applications in agriculture, surveying, surveillance, and logistics. With a range of products, including Agribot, Surveybot, Drishti, and Heavybot, IoTechWorld caters to diverse industry needs.

The startup aims to promote indigenous products under the 'Make In India' initiative, expand its sales network, and establish company-owned service stations across ten states in India. IoTechWorld is also gearing up to launch high-endurance drone models with an impressive range of 50-100 kilometers.

7. Indrones:

Mumbai-based Indrones, founded in 2015 by Pravin Prajapati, specializes in mapping services using drones. The startup manufactures three drone models, namely Sigma 25, Sigma 75, and Vector VTOL, designed for topographic surveys, volumetric estimations, 3D modeling, and data collection across sectors such as construction, railways, disaster management, agriculture, mining, and oil & gas.

Indrones has also developed a Drone as a Service (DaaS) platform, enabling efficient and reliable data collection for various industries. With funding from MapmyIndia, Indrones continues to expand its presence and deliver high-quality mapping solutions.
