Additionally, planting materials have been distributed to over 1000 families for kitchen gardens and roof gardening, promoting nutrition security.

Several progressive farmers have embraced water spinach cultivation for commercial purposes. Notably, farmers like Shri Pratap Narayan Maurya from Allauddinpur, Varanasi; Shri Akhilesh Singh from Chhitak Pur, Mirzapur; and Shri Subhas K Pal from Kuttupur, Jaunpur, have achieved impressive results.

They have harvested leafy biomass ranging from 90 to 100 tons per hectare with an average cost of cultivation between ₹1,40,000 to 1,50,000 per hectare. The average sale price of leafy biomass ranges from Rs 15 to 20 per kilogram, resulting in an income range of Rs 12,00,000 to 15,00,000 per hectare per year.

The success of water spinach cultivation has acted as a catalyst, inspiring neighboring farmers to adopt upland cultivation methods. There is a growing demand for planting materials, indicating the potential for entrepreneurship development among young farmers.
