What Agricultural Operations Does the Blue Series Simba 30 Tractor Support?
The compact tractor range for specialized agricultural operations has been expanded with the introduction of the New Holland Agriculture Blue Series Simba 30 tractor. The Simba 30 tractor is built for inter-row cultivation, spraying, and rotavation in vineyards, fruit and vegetable orchards, sugarcane fields, and cotton fields.
The compact tractor segment accounts for approximately 10% of the total tractor industry in India. Last year, approximately 90,000 tractors sold in the country were in the compact segment with less than 30 HP. "We plan to sell about 500-600 sub-30 HP tractors this year, depending on supply, and we may increase that to 2,000-3,000 units next year," Verma said.

Compact tractors are most popular in Karnataka and Maharashtra. According to Raunak Verma, New Holland is launching its sub-30 HP tractor in key markets of Maharashtra and Karnataka first, with plans to expand into other markets soon. According to Verma, approximately 60,000 tractors were sold in Karnataka last year, with the market expected to remain stable this year. "There are approximately 10,000 compact units in Karnataka, and we are excited to launch it here," Verma said.
