Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana- Earn Lakhs From Barren And Waste Land

The government of India has launched PM Kusum Yojana so that farmers don’t have to struggle through the power crisis. This scheme includes a provision for converting the digital power pumps used across the country into solar power pumps and establishing other grid-connected solar power plants. This scheme is in place in the majority of the country's states. According to the guidelines of the central government's PM Kusum Yojana, many state governments are doing better work in this scheme at their level. In this regard, the Rajasthan government has now established a solar energy livelihood scheme (Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana) under PM Kusum Yojana to connect agriculture with solar energy in the state. Bhanwar Singh Bhati, the Energy Minister of Rajasthan State, launched this scheme on October 17, 2022. Solar panels on barren and wasteland will be used to generate electricity under the scheme.

The Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme Portal has been launched

The Rajasthan government has created solar agriculture livelihood schemes (Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana) to double farmers' income. Agriculture is being linked with solar energy under this scheme. A portal has been established in the state to assist farmers in establishing solar power plants on their unusable and barren land. On Monday, Rajasthan Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati launched the portal at Vidyut Bhavan.

All information about central and state government solar energy schemes will be available on this website, https://www.skayrajasthan.org.in/. Companies establishing solar power plants will be able to contact farmers directly and lease their land thanks to this portal.

Efforts are being made to increase solar power generation capacity to 142 GW

During the portal's launch at Vidyut Bhavan, Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati stated that Rajasthan is already the leader in solar energy when compared to other states. Efforts are being made to increase the state's solar power generation capacity to 142 GW to make it a solar power state. To ensure the success of this effort, the State Energy Department has launched the Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme portal (Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana) under Component C of the Central Government's PM Kusum Yojana. This portal is intended for scheme registration. Both the developer and the farmer must sign up for this portal so that the farmer leasing land and the company constructing a solar power plant have complete information.

Take advantage of the Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme Portal

  • Farmers can earn a living by donating unused and barren land to solar power plant plants at remunerative lease rates under the 'Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana.'
  • Under the scheme, an online portal has been created where farmers can register their land for leasing out for the construction of solar power plants.
  • Farmers who register on this portal will be able to lease their land for up to 25 years to build a solar power plant.
  • Solar power companies interested in setting up solar plants will be able to do so through the online portal.
  • 4.24 MW has been awarded under the scheme as part of a pilot project in the Tonk district of Rajasthan.
  • This project will provide solar energy to 656 farmers in the district.
  • In exchange, he will be given an attractive lease on his land. Farmers will be paid an annual lease rent of Rs.80,000 per hectare on land worth up to Rs.8 lakh, according to the DLC rate.
  • At the same time, annual lease rent of Rs 1 lakh 60 thousand per hectare will be available on land valued above Rs 20 lakh. Not only that but the lease rent will be increased by up to 5% every two years.
  • Solar energy companies will also be able to easily obtain a central grant of 30% of the cost of setting up the plant with the Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana under the PM Kusum Yojana.
  • To protect the landowner/farmer from risk, the state government will enter into a tripartite agreement with the landowner/farmer, the developer, and the concerned company.
