The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)

The 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' (PM-KISAN) is a new Central Sector Scheme that intends to provide income support to all landholding farmer families in the nation to assist them in meeting their financial demands for agricultural and related inputs as well as for household requirements.

Before, only those who owned less than 2 hectares of land could participate in the programme. Later, all small landholding families were included in the PM Kisan Yojana.

Under the PM-KISAN programme, every landholding farmer's family will receive a monetary benefit of Rs 6,000 per year, distributed in three equal payments of Rs 2000 each every four months. According to the official definition, a family consists of a husband, a wife, and a minor child.

How Farmer can avail benefit from PM-KISAN?

Step 1: Visit the www.pmkisan.gov.in website.

Step 2: Click on "Farmers Corner."

Step 3: Select "New farmer registration."

Step 4: When the registration form appears, fill it out accurately.

Step 5: Press the "Submit" button.

How to verify PM Kisan beneficiary status

Step 1: On PM KISAN official website.

Step 2: Find "Beneficiary Status" on Farmers corner.

Step 3: Key in your Aadhaar, account, or mobile number, and Captcha code.

How to see the beneficiary list for PM Kisan

Step 1: Go over to PM KISAN's official website.

Step 2: Select "Beneficiary Status."

Step 3: Select "Get Report" after entering the Status, District, Sub-district, Block, and Village.

The beneficiary status of PM KISAN will be shown.

The complete transaction history for the PM KISAN beneficiary will be shown. The information of the last installment, including the date of transfer to the beneficiaries' account and the bank account to which it was credited, will be displayed on the screen.

1. Who is qualified to receive benefits under the Plan?

Families of farmers who own cultivable land in their names are eligible to receive benefits under the programme.

2. How many times will the benefit be provided in a calendar year?

A monetary bonus of Rs. 6000 will be given to all landowner farmer households every year.

3. Any person or farmer family with more than 2 hectares of arable land will be eligible for the program's benefits?

Yes. Regardless of the extent of their land holdings, all farmer families are now included in the scope of the programme.

4. What will happen if the recipient provides a false declaration when the Scheme is implemented?

In the event of an inaccurate declaration, the beneficiary may be subject to further legal penalties, including the recovery of the transferred financial benefit.

5. Will beneficiaries' accounts get monetary benefits under the Scheme directly?

Yes. Beneficiaries' bank accounts will be directly credited with the financial advantage under the scheme.
