This is an all-terrain vehicle installed with electric power. Powerland Agro Tractor Vehicles is a Goa-based company that has been developing off-road vehicles since 2014. In 2019, they unveiled the first electric ATV at Vibrant Goa. More recently, in 2020 it was also used by the BAJA SAE India track marshals for the endurance race in Pithampur.
For the first time in India, Powerland's electric ATV comes with in-wheel motors. The 900D diesel ATV tractor generates 20hp power and 48Nm of torque and provides a massive 900 Nm of torque. It has an indigenously developed VCU along with 13 computers that allow each of the four BLDC motors with independent controls.
Powerland Electric ATV Tractor also offers special abilities like torque vectoring and spot steering or zero-radius steering for allowing the vehicle to literally turn on a dime. Powerland provides a maximum speed of 95kph and accelerates from 0-60kph in 4.5 secs.
Powerland Electric ATV Tractor provides a 7.5 kWh and 10 kWh battery system that is expected to give a range of over 80-100km. This tractor can also work on a 14-kWh battery pack that could give around 125km on a single charge. This ATV approximately takes 2-3 hours for the 7kWh battery pack and for a premium of Rs 30-35 thousand, you can get a fast charger that could fully charge the vehicle in less than two hours.
Powerland Electric ATV Tractor offers a price range of Rs 600,000-700,000 for 7-10 kWh battery-powered vehicles in India. This brand also has plans to come up with more affordable models once the quantity goes up. The affordable model would attract farmers looking for lesser performance, lower torque, and lesser features.
